David S. Karow, MD, PhD

President and Chief of Radiology

As the Human Longevity Chief Innovation Officer, Chief of Radiology and President of the medical group, Dr. Karow is internationally recognized as an innovative leader in MR imaging and genomic analytics. He is a proponent of using data-driven precision medicine testing and AI to achieve extensions in the healthy
human lifespan. He is the senior author and co-author of numerous publications focused on early detection of chronic age-related disease using imaging and genomic
biomarkers. Dr. Karow graduated from medical school at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor in 2005 in a combined MD/PhD program with a distinction in research and completed residency and fellowship at UC San Diego and UC Los Angeles, respectively.

Julie Chen, MD

Chief Medical Officer for Human Longevity and Medical Director

Dr. Julie Chen is the Chief Medical Officer for Human Longevity and Medical Director of Human Longevity. Dr. Chen specializes in internal medicine/integrative medicine and she has over a decade of clinical research experience at institutions such as National Cancer Institute, FDA, Clinical Center at National Institutes of Health, Mount Sinai, USC, and UC Irvine. She has also been featured as a medical expert on TV shows like News 12 New Jersey, KABC-LA, Chicago Fox 32 News, The Doctors, Dr. Oz, and more. Additionally, Dr. Julie Chen has been recognized and published in national publications, such as, but not limited to, Healthline.com, HuffingtonPost.com, Men’s Health, MSN.com.

William D. Keen, MD, FACC

Chief of Cardiology

Dr. Keen is the Chief of Cardiology of Human Longevity. He has over two decades of clinical, administrative, and academic experience with numerous contributions to clinical cardiology. His passion is early detection and management of clinical and pre-clinical heart disease. Prior to Human Longevity, Dr. Keen was the chief of echocardiography, Chief of the Adult Congenital Heart Disease program, Chief of the Department of Internal Medicine, and Assistant Medical Director over the Departments of Emergency Medicine, Hospital Medicine, Critical Care, Radiology, Laboratory and Pathology, and Continuing Care at Kaiser Permanente. He maintains an academic appointment in the division of cardiology at the University of California, San Diego as Clinical Professor of Medicine.

Pamila Brar, MD

Longevity Physician

Having served as the past president of the American Academy of Private Physicians, Dr. Brar is a precision medicine physician with a deep love for science and translating complex ideas into accessible information.

Eric Dinenberg, MD, MPH

Longevity Physician

Fellowship trained in Integrative Medicine, Dr. Dinenberg authored a book on mindfulness, produced an album of meditations, and has over eighteen years of experience bringing mindfulness for well-being and elite performance to healthcare providers and patients.

Margaret O'Byrne, MD

Longevity Physician

Dr. O’Byrne graduated from Rutgers Medical School, the state medical school of New Jersey. She completed Internal Medicine and Vascular Medicine residency and fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. O’Byrne also completed an Integrative Medicine fellowship at the Andrew Weil Center, University of Arizona. Her staff clinical and teaching experience spans over 20 years and includes Cleveland Clinic, Scripps Clinic, University of San Diego Medical School and Veterans Administration Health Center. Additionally, she works as an expert medical consultant for the Medical Board of California.

Tina Ziainia, MD, FACOG

Longevity Physician

With over twenty years of clinical experience and numerous peer reviewed journal articles, Dr. Ziainia is the Chief of Women’s Health and Performance Medicine at Human Longevity. Dr. Ziainia has won countless awards from Top Doctors of San Diego (2013-2019, 2021-2022) to Sharp Rees Stealy Physician Excellence Award. Additionally, Dr. Ziainia has been interviewed on numerous media platforms from KTVI FOX 2 News, KPBS, and KMOV News etc.

Michelle Malcolmson, MD

Longevity Physician

Utilizing whole genome sequencing, imaging, and clinical evaluation of patients, Dr. Malcolmson reduces risk and optimizes health with all the available information to her. She has been practicing preventive health since the beginning of her career rooted in nutrition and molecular biology. She studied Nutritional Sciences and Molecular Biology at UC Berkeley in the 90s and has been utilizing her knowledge in medicine throughout her career. She is excited that the importance of precision medicine is finally coming to fruition at Human Longevity.

Abigail Mori, MS, AGPCNP-BC

Nurse Practitioner

Board certified with a clinical background in Cardiology and Internal medicine, Abigail has a passion for disease prevention through optimization of all aspects of health and wellness. She considers multidimensional aspects of well-being to treat the whole person, with a goal to not only live longer but thrive longer! She has been recognized with Scripps’ “Honored Caregiver” award by her patients. She looks forward to assisting you in your wellness journey with Human Longevity.

Jessica Kelley, MSN, AGPCNP-BC

Nurse Practitioner

With over a decade of clinical experience, most notably in Internal Medicine at Scripps Clinic Torrey Pines, Jessica is Board-Certified in Adult and Gerontology Primary Care with dual degrees as Nurse Practitioner and Clinical Nurse Specialist. Her approach to precision medicine transcends pharmacologic therapy, encompassing holistic and lifestyle measures tailored to the individual. She is dedicated to Human Longevity’s mission of extending the healthy, high-performance human lifespan and looks forward to working with you on this journey.

Julia Appis, DNP, FNP-BC

Nurse Practitioner

Julia Appis is board certified with experience in internal medicine as well as family medicine. Julia has a lot of interest and passion for preventative medicine and using lifestyle modifications to achieve optimal health. She is a big proponent of diet and exercise and enjoys discussing how these elements can fit best into someone’s life. She focuses on an individualized approach to medicine and recognizes that each client has his/her own specific needs that must be addressed to achieve longevity.

Madison Pachoe, DNP, FNP-C

Nurse Practitioner

Madison Pachoe is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner who was born and raised in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Madison graduated summa cum laude from Georgetown University in Washington D.C. with a B.S. in Biology. After working for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for two years, she went on to complete her Master’s and Doctorate degree in Nursing at Columbia University in New York City. While getting her Doctorate degree she completed a subspecialty in women’s health. She has a strong commitment to primary care as she spent two years providing primary and preventative health services in homeless shelters across New York City. More recently, Madison worked at a primary care practice in San Diego where she made a point to personalize each patient’s care and emphasize preventative medicine.

Constantine A. Stratakis

Chief of Clinical Genetics

Dr. Constantine A. Stratakis is internationally recognized for his research, mentorship, and leadership in Genetics. He has identified genes for height, hypertension and cancer, including
adrenal and pituitary tumors, the genetic defects responsible for Carney complex, Carney Triad, the dyad of paragangliomas and gastric stromal sarcomas (Carney-Stratakis syndrome), and described new entities such as X-LAG (X-linked
acrogigantism) and 3-PAs (the 3 Ps association of paragangliomas pheochromocytomas and PA), GPR101 defects in gigantism, and succinate dehydrogenase (SDH) mutations in gastric stromal sarcomas (GIST). He is the author of more than 800 publications and has served in major Editorial roles of leading journals. Dr. Stratakis has received many awards including the 1999 Award for Excellence in Published Clinical Research and the 2009 Ernst Oppenheimer Award,
both from the Endocrine Society, and the 2019 Dale Medal from the Society for Endocrinology, and a number of other honors. He is Visiting Professor in academic centers around the world and has received two honorary degrees from the Universities of Liege and Athens, respectively. As a mentor, Dr.
Stratakis has trained more than 200 trainees and has received awards for his teaching. He is also widely recognized for his leadership; in the United States, he served as the 2018-2019 President of the Society for Pediatric Research, and as NICHD, NIH Scientific Director from 2009 to 2020, where he oversaw one of the largest NIH research programs. Dr. Stratakis was selected in 2020 to serve as CSO of ELPEN and the Director of their new Research Institute on Precision Medicine, along with his appointment in
2021 at Foundation of Research & Technology – Hellas, as Head of their laboratory on Human Genetics
and Precision Medicine and Head of Genetics at Henry Dunant Hospital in Greece. Dr. Stratakis serves as Chief of Clinical Genetics for Human Longevity, as of May 2022.

Xiaoli Du, PhD, DABMGG

Director of Medical Genomics

Dr. Du is an ABMGG board certified clinical laboratory geneticist for both clinical molecular genetics and clinical cytogenetics. Her passion is to use the cutting-edge technology in genetics to make an impact on precision medicine. Dr. Du has 8 years of genetic diagnosis experience working in both the public and private sectors.

Dr. Du has three years of clinical genetics fellowship training at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center with a specialization in Laboratory Genetics and Genomics. In addition, Dr. Du has five years research experiences in cellular oncology at National Cancer Institute of National Institutes of Health (NCI/NIH). Dr. Du received her PhD degree in cancer cell biology from Peking Union Medical College.

Published 15 articles including PNAS, Oncogene, Journal of molecular medicine, Gastroenterology, American Journal of Medical Genetics.

Eric Wang, MD

Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

Dr. Wang is a diagnostic imaging specialist based in the South San Francisco office.  He graduated from Harvard University magna cum laude and UCLA School of Medicine before beginning his career in orthopedic surgery. He then transitioned to radiology where he has spent over 10 years in imaging and quality improvement, most recently as National Associate Director of the Veterans Health Administration National Radiology Program and Chief Quality Officer of the National Teleradiology Program.
