Privacy Policy

We at Human Longevity (“HLI”) understand that our users care about how their Personal Information is used and shared, and we take your privacy seriously. Please read the following to learn more about how we collect, use, store, process and transfer your Personal Information when using HN’s website (the “Site”). By using the Site, you acknowledge that you accept the practices and policies outlined in this Privacy Policy. Personal Information is information that can be used to identify you, either alone or in combination with other information.

*Please note: At the current time, the requirements of the CCPA do not apply to HLI’s operations, based on the express terms of the statute. To the extent any pf HN’s operations become subject to CCPA requirements in the future, HLI will implement processes to ensure compliance with the requirements and will update this Privacy Policy accordingly. 

Scope

This Privacy Policy covers only information collected through the Site. It does not cover any other data collection or processing, including, without limitation, collection conducted offline, or through other processes that do not display a direct link to this Privacy Policy, or by other companies at third party sites that do not display a direct link to this Privacy Policy.

What information does HLI collect?

A. Information You Provide to Us:

When you submit an inquiry about HLI’s services via the Site, HLI collects, processes and stores Personal Information, such as your name, phone number or email address. This information may be combined other information collected in accordance with applicable law, including publicly available information. Where you are disclosing information about a family member, you must ensure that you have permission from the family member to do so.

B. Information Collected Automatically:

Whenever you interact with HLI, we automatically receive and record information on our server logs from your browser including your IP address, “cookie” information, and the page you requested. “Cookies” are identifiers we transfer to your computer or mobile device that allow us to recognize your browser or mobile device and tell us how and when pages in our Site are visited and by how many people. You can change the preferences on your browser or mobile device to prevent or limit your computer or device’s acceptance of cookies, but this may prevent you from taking advantage of some features of the Site. If you click on a link to a third-party website, that third party may also transmit cookies to you. This Privacy Policy does not cover the use of cookies by any third parties.

Certain usage information we collect (such as the numbers and frequency of visitors to the HLI website) we only use in aggregate form, and not in a manner that would identify you personally. We will not use such identifiable data for any purposes other than to operate, promote, and improve HLI Services and to develop new ones.

How will HLI use and share personal information it receives?

We may use your Personal Information to personalize and improve our products, services or the Site, contact users, fulfill your requests for certain products or services, fulfill statutory or regulatory requirements, and analyze how users utilize our products, services or the Site, and as otherwise set forth in this Privacy Policy. In compliance with applicable law, we may use contact information that you have provided to send you information regarding HLI products and services, as well as other information that we think might be useful to you. If you do not wish to receive marketing information from us, you may opt out (see “Opting Out” below). When you contact our Client Services group we collect information to track and respond to your inquiry, analyze and improve our products or services, and investigate any breach of our Terms of Service, Privacy Statement or applicable laws or regulations.

HLI will not sell, lease, or rent your Personal Information to any third party without your express consent. We share and/or transfer your personal information to affiliates, agents, vendors, or service providers who assist us in the process of providing products or services to you, or otherwise perform functions on our behalf. Unless we tell you differently, our agents do not have any right to use the Personal Information we share with them beyond what is necessary to assist us.

We may choose to buy or sell assets. In these types of transactions, customer information is typically one of the business assets that would be transferred. Also, if we (or substantially all of our assets) are acquired, or if we go out of business, enter bankruptcy, or go through some other change of control, Personal Information could be one of the assets transferred to or acquired by a third party.

We reserve the right to access, read, preserve, and disclose any information that we reasonably believe is necessary to comply with a judicial proceeding or legal process, cooperate with regulators or law enforcement authorities, enforce or apply our conditions of use and other agreements; or protect the rights, property, or safety of HLI, our employees, our users, or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organizations for fraud protection and credit risk reduction. In addition, we may disclose information about you to a third party at your request, or if you consent to the disclosure.

Is personal information about me secure?

We endeavor to protect the privacy of your Personal Information we hold in our records, and utilize industry standard security safeguards such as a web application firewall, Secure Socket Layer and other encryption of transmitted and stored Personal Information to protect it from unauthorized access or loss. However, we cannot guarantee complete security. Unauthorized entry or use, hardware or software failure, and other factors, may compromise the security of user information at any time. If you have reason to believe that the security of your personal information has been compromised, please immediately notify us by contacting us at privacyofficer@humanlongevity.com.

The Site may contain links to other websites. We are not responsible for the privacy or security practices on other sites. When following a link to another site you should read that site’s privacy policy.

Opting out

If you do not wish to receive marketing information from HLI, you may opt out by: (1) declining marketing information when registering or at other information gathering points on the website, or (2) informing us that you no longer wish to receive marketing communications by utilizing the unsubscribe mechanism offered in our marketing emails, or (3) by emailing us at clientservices@humanlongevity.com. We will comply with these requests unless such communications are required by law or contract or do not require your consent under applicable laws.

Data retention and access

We retain data for at least as long as required by applicable law, and for periods of time needed for HLI to provide services to our clients, conduct audits, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may access, correct, and/or update your information by contacting our Client Services group at clientservices@humanlongevity.com. Our response to such requests will be limited to information under our direct control. We will make reasonable efforts to respond promptly to such requests in accordance with applicable laws.

Important information

Children’s privacy: The Site is not designed for, intended to attract, or directed toward children under the age of 18.

Personal Information for Non-US Residents: HLI makes no representation as to whether its data privacy practices comply with data privacy laws and regulations in countries outside the United States. For residents of the European Union, HLI does not currently market its services to EU residents and makes no representation that it is in compliance with European Union General Data Protection Regulation requirements.

Changes to this privacy policy

We reserve the right to change this Privacy Policy from time to time and in our sole discretion. Changes will be effective upon the date the revised Privacy Policy is posted on the Site, with the effective date noted in the header at the top of this page. When you visit the Site, you accept the version of this Policy in effect at that time. We recommend that you periodically visit and review this page to obtain the latest information on our privacy practices.
